For 10 days in July, the Cape celebrates its most famous flower at the annual Hydrangea Festival.
From July 7-16, there will be tours of home gardens from Falmouth to Provincetown. “Gardens are a celebration of where we live,” says festival founder C.L. Fornari, and the tours give fellow gardeners inspiration and opportunities
to hear techniques as well as discover new plants.
Many local establishments join in on the occasion, too. Cahoon Museum will host a cocktail party for festivalgoers. The Cape Cod Hydrangea Society will have workshops at Heritage Museums & Gardens. Local restaurants and bars have stirred up hydrangea-inspired concoctions, forming the Cape Cod Cocktail Trail for the duration of the festival.
