The craft beer craze hasn’t skipped over the peninsula.

In recent years, a handful of new brewers, including Orleans’ Hog Island Beer Co., Mashpee’s Naukabout Beer Company and South Dennis’ Devil’s Purse, have joined the few established Cape and island breweries and turned home brewing hobbies into large operations. This fall, at the sixth annual Cape Cod Brew Fest, beer lovers have a chance to try many Cape crafts as well as selections from notable American brands. At the 3.5-hour festival, attendees can visit 60 breweries, choose from over 200 styles of beer, hear live music and grab bites from local food trucks. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Barnstable County Agricultural Society. Reduced ticket prices are available for designated drivers to the event.
